Dear Graham Bruce Families,
We’re excited to welcome you back for another fantastic year of learning, growth, and community at Graham Bruce Elementary! Whether you're returning or joining us for the first time, we’re so glad to have you with us.
First Week of School: What You Need to Know
Tuesday, September 2 | 9:00–10:00 AM
- New Students (Grades 1–7, including Collingwood Gr. 4): Meet at the front door on Tanner Street. Staff will greet and guide students to their temporary classrooms.
- Returning Students (Grades 1–7): Line up at last year’s drop-off/pick-up spots. Teachers or designated staff will escort students to their classrooms.
- New Kindergarten Students: Line up outside Room 106’s door on Tanner Street. Our Kindergarten teacher will welcome students and families inside.
- Returning Kindergarten Students: Meet at the front door by the wall. Staff will guide students to the school library.
Wednesday, September 3 | Full Day (9:00 AM–2:58 PM)
- New Kindergarteners: Follow the Gradual Entry Schedule emailed to families. Conversations with families continue.
- Returning last year Kindergarteners: Line up at the front door.
- Grades 1–7: First full day! Please send students with a snack, lunch, and weather-appropriate clothing. Students will continue to report to last year’s drop-off/pick-up spots.
- Class Assignments: Students will remain in last year’s classes until final school organization is approved by the school board.
New Faces at Bruce
We’re thrilled to welcome new staff members to our school community:
- Ms. Paige Ayers – Job sharing with Ms. Kelly Lee (Mondays/Tuesdays)
- Ms. Rosanna Di Francesco – School Counselor
- Ms. Paige Koroluk – Speech Language Pathologist
- Ms. Liliana Raskovic – Youth and Family Worker (Mon–Fri)

We say goodbye to:
- Mr. Paul Im, who is moving on to a high school position. Best of luck in your new role!
- Ms. Yolande Wu, who is retiring. Thank you for your dedication—enjoy your well-earned retirement!

- Moving? If your child will not be returning to Bruce next year, please notify the office as soon as possible. This helps us plan class sizes and placements.

- Volunteer – Help out with school events and activities. Opportunities will be shared by PAC and staff.
